The world is your oyster
A series of six salt bowls for the Danish Embassy in Tokyo. Commission work for Margrethe Odgaard's project 'Dining with Design, Tokyo.' The world is your oyster explores the intimate relationship between object and user. The oyster is, for me, a power symbol. It can reproduce itself, clam up for protection, and foster life's essence. Its appearance is alluring. On the one hand, it is inviting, and on another, it is shy and hiding a secret. Can a utensil change the way we experience eating?
