Kaleidospoon
I have been gathering old cutlery to use as material for my work for a long time. The utensils carry traces and memory of every day. They are used as tools to fulfill human needs. The collected cutlery is paired, and I carefully reuse every bit of them. In my work, I create dreamy objects that conjure fanciful experiences. I wish for the observer to enter my imaginary world where my work has grown and seems to continue growing. This world becomes the environment where my objects morph, transform and convert every day into a fantasy. I imagine my objects desiring to become alive and mutate into other forms with other functions. The work arises from an imaginary dreamscape that turns the everyday function of familiar things upside down.
